Terminus Group Attends Expo 2020 IPM Committed to Achieve Mutual Goals and Progress

The final International Participants Meeting (IPM) of Expo 2020 Dubai was held at the Dubai Exhibition Center at the beginning of May, attracting 370 delegates from around the globe. As the official premier partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, Terminus Group attended the meeting and shared its creative ideas and cutting-edge solutions in the field of AIoT technology, and actively contributed to one of the world's greatest tech exhibitions.

Expo's sixth IPM is the final meet up of national representatives, multilateral organizations, academic institutions, and corporations before the Expo’s grand opening this October. The attendees, representing 173 of Expo's 190+ participating countries and 24 participating organizations, all met in Dubai to discuss the recent updates regarding on-site operations, the management of the facilities, the Expo 2020’s events and program, and content related to marketing, communications and media services.


As the Official Premier Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, Terminus Group is currently at the stage of planning the development of the AI CITY at a larger scale both in China and internationally. The first AI CITY project "Cloud Valley" in Chongqing has been under construction since April last year. Designed by the award-winning architect studio B.I.G with the goal of building an AI-enabled ecosystem in mind, "Cloud Valley" showcases the most recent AI & tech breakthroughs achieved by the company. In China, more and more megacities are now entering into a partnership with Terminus Group to boost the development of AI CITIES, such as Wuhan located in central China, Deyang-Chengdu located in the Southwest, and Shenyang in the Northeast. AI CITY project is the crowning achievement of Terminus Group, and the result of the experience the company has gained in the field over the past years.

Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Director-General of the Expo 2020 Dubai Office said, "As everyone knows, the UAE had to postpone the expo for one year, but now, the presence of international delegations and their participation highlights their confidence in our ability to host the event in October 2021, underscoring the world's confidence in the ability of the UAE and Dubai's capacity to host the expo after five months, and, most importantly, their confidence in the UAE's health system."

The first World Expo in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, Expo 2020 will be held for six months from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022. The event will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the UAE and highlight the country's role as a global connection hub for people, ideas, and innovation.
