Terminus Group joins hands with Intel to promote green and smart industrial park development

A super smart industrial park wakes up in the morning, while its brain and body are orderly operating, as always...

This is Terminus Group’s self-developed smart industrial park - Wuhan AI CITY, located in the Sino-French Wuhan Ecological Town, Caidian District, Wuhan, Hubei Province. Supported by Intel® Smart Edge, and Terminus Group’s AIoT-based software and hardware integrated solutions, Wuhan AI CITY has been able to achieve smart and low-carbon efficient operation and management, creating a demonstration for regional smart industrial parks and urban green sustainable development.

Low-carbon and smart scenarios can be seen everywhere within Wuhan AI CITY: clean energy provision, smart robot services, automatic lightings and air conditioning, etc. For those who work in the campus, they will find that the upgrade in their experiences seamless and frictionless. Since its inauguration, with the support of the ecosystem partners, Wuhan AI CITY has achieved carbon neutrality by using digital and smart technologies.

Large industrial parks like AI CITY always come with complex scenarios and various users’ needs. To achieve precise and flexible operation poses a great challenge to the software and hardware deployed within.

To this end, Terminus Group joined hands with Intel®, and developed a low-carbon smart industrial park solutions based on its city-level TacOS cloud-edge all-in-one product suite. The solution includes dual carbon applications such as a building automation system (OriginSYS), a smart solar power system, an urban carbon emission management system, and an energy trading platform. Through the deployment of energy conservation, energy storage, solar power, and charging solutions on smart terminals, Terminus Group enables comprehensive carbon management across multiple scenarios, from professional applications to comprehensive platforms.

Terminus Group’s low-carbon smart park solution is based on TacOS, an AIoT city operating system created by the company to meet the needs of urban digital intelligence. TacOS establishes a modular five-dimensional urban spatial logic architecture, realizes the large-scale customization of cities based on ecosystem needs, improves urban operational efficiency, reduces costs and risks, and contributes to the sustainable development of smart cities.

In response to the requirements of the dual carbon targets, TacOS integrates a product portfolio of comprehensive platforms and vertical applications based on an unified IoT foundation, digital twin technology, and business intelligence (BI). The operating system provides full-lifecycle carbon footprint monitoring and management from energy production to consumption, and meets the digital intelligence, sustainability, and low-carbon demands of scenarios such as buildings, communities, smart parks, and cities.

At the edge, TacOS is optimized for bare-metal machines and virtual machines built on Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, Intel Atom® processors, Intel® discrete GPUs, and Intel® integrated GPUs, providing strong computing power for upper-layer applications. At the cloud, TacOS uses a container platform based on Intel® Smart Edge Open, which integrates AI, media processing, network functions, and security workloads to meet the needs of various applications.
