Terminus Group and HKUST (GZ) to Establish a World-Leading Joint Research Center

On June 27, the Joint Research Center for Digital World, established by Terminus Group and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) (HKUST (GZ)), was officially inaugurated, aiming to promote the research and applications of Artificial Intelligence of things (AIoT). Combining Terminus Group's global AIoT application scenarios and HKUST (GZ)’s world-leading research strengths, the Center will promote key research projects - incl. creating middle-platform architecture for ubiquitous AIoT, building the operation and maintenance framework for city-level IoT platforms, the efficient networking and resource scheduling of ubiquitous intelligent mNodes - and strive to become a global key research platform in the digital economy area.

Victor AI, Founder and CEO of Terminus Group and Lionel M. NI, President of HKUST (GZ), along side with representatives of the two sides attended the Center’s inauguration ceremony.

Since the beginning of this year, the development of technologies such as ChatGPT and large models is accelerating the arrival of a more digital and intelligent world. The advancement of technology forces humankind to think about how to keep up with the times and ride the technological wave in order to make technology better serve people. This is why the Joint Research Center for Digital World was established.

The Joint Research Center is located on the campus of HKUST (GZ), covering an area of approximately 306 square meters. Backed by the strengths and resources of both sides, the center focuses on exploring the theoretical basis and technical framework of personalized, customized and user-centric services.
